El Capitan on ASUS P5G41T-M LX success

Hello , I am Rasheed.

I have successfully installed El Capitan on my System with following Configuration.


  • ASUS P5G41T-M LX Motherboard.
  • Intel Core 2 Duo 2.93 GHz e7500 Processor.
  • Samsung SSD 850 VO 120 GB
  • 2 GB DDR3 RAM
  • LG DVD RW
  • NVIDIA Ge Force 210 1024MB Graphics card.
How Did i Installed?
​

  • Prepared Elcapitan USB as follows.


  • Downloaded El Capitan from appstore on a friend's macbook.
  • Downloaded Unibeast latest version from Tony Mac x86
  • Also Downloaded Multibeast for Elcapitan ( for post installation from Tony Mac).
  • Now make sure that elcapitan app downloaded is in the applications folder of the mac.
  • plugged in a usb of 16 gb and formatted it as follows.
    • ​opened disk utility
    • created 1 partition in osx-extended (journaled)
    • in options- selected guid partition scheme.
    • click ok, then create it.
  • ​opened unibeast and selected usb drive as target.
  • in options, i choosed Legacy SUPPORT (since asus P5G41T-M LX Motherboard is a bios type motherboard).
  • in next window, i checked "Nvidia support".
  • wait for it to complete.
NOTE:
PLEASE COPY THE DOWNLOADED MULTIBEAST TO USB ( REQUIRED FOR POST INTALLATION)

NOW YOU HAVE EL-CAPITAN USB .

  • IN BIOS, OF ASUS P5G41T-M LX Motherboard
  • (PRESS DEL KEL TO ENTER BIOS OF P5G41T-M LX Motherboard )
    • USE THESE SETTINGS.
      • SATA CONTROLLER- ENHACED
      • SATA MODE- AHCI
      • IN POWER------.> ACPI SUPPORT -> ENABLED.
      • BOOT FROM LAN - DISABLED
INSTALLATION

​

  1. PLUG USB, PRESS F8 KEY TO SHOW BOOT MENU AND CHOOSE USB DRIVE.
  2. NOW CHOOSE THE ELCAPITAN USB TO BOOT, NO ANY BOOT FLAGS ARE USED, JUST PRESS ENTER KEY.
  3. WHEN INSTALLER SCREEN IS SHOWN , FROM DISK UTILITY , CREATE GUID PARTITION SCHEME- WITH 1 PARTITION AS OS X EXTENDED(JOURNALED).
  4. NOW CLOSE DISK UTILITY AND CONTINOUE BY CHOOSING THE TARGET AS THE DRIVE YOU JUST CREATED.
  5. JUST WAIT FOR INSTALLATION TO FINISH.

NOTE:
​

  • YOU HAVE NOW JUST INSTALLED EL CAPITAN, BUT YOU CANNOT BOOT DIRECTLY TO THE HARDISK , SINCE YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED POST INSTALLATION.

WHAT TO DO NOW?
​

  1. JUST BOOT AGIN THE USB AND NOW CHOOSE THE DRIVE OF PC WHERE YOU JUST FINISHED INSTALLATION ( NOT THE USB INSTALLER ).
  2. NOW MAC WILL CONTINUE CREATING USER ACCOUNTS AND ALL.
  3. NOW AFTER REACHING THE DESKTOP YOU HAVE TO INSTALL THE BOOTLOADER AND ESSENTIAL KEXTS ( POST INSTALLATION WITH MULTIBEAST) WHICH IS DISCUSSED BELOW.

POST INTALLATION

  • COPY THE DOWNLOADED MULTIBEAST FROM USB DRIVE ( OR SOME WHERE ELSE).
    1. CLICK ON QUICK START---> THEN PRESS LEGACY BOOT
    2. CLICK BOOT LOADER--> CLOVER LEGACY BOOT MODE
    3. CLICK CUSTOMIZE--- > CHECK INJECT NVIDIA
    4. CLICK BULID--> CHOSE HARD DRIVE OF PC WHERE YOU INSTALLED EL CAPITAN
    5. CLICK INSTALL.
    • NOW REEBOOT AFTER INTALLATION COMPLETE.
  • NOW YOU CAN DIRCTLY BOOT YOUR PC WITHOUT USB.

FOR ETHERNET/LAN DRIVER:
-INSTALL AthereosL1CEthernet.kext (just google and download it )
- you can install it with a "kext wizard" ---(utility for installing kext) also available in internet.

Not working : only Audio--- Its alc 887 so you could patch apple hda.kext and make it working...

I have the same motherboard and the same situation as regards Audio, has anyone found a solution for this problem?

Hi. Time has passed since this message. But will you have the EFI folder that you can send me? Because I have a PC the same as yours but I cannot install hakintosh.:(

There you go, same motherboard, q6600, but I am using the FenviT919 wifi/bluetooth card and MSI Geforce GT 710 graphics card and they both work natively in macos. Only kext i installed other than the standard fakesmc and nullcpupowermanagement was the AtherosL1cEthernet to get the ethernet working as mentioned by OP. For the sound VoodooHDA 2.8.7 works well for me from multibeast el capitan version.
