hey guys, my hackintosh has been running well for a few months, and just never got around to fixing the sound...

sound works perfect after a reboot if it goes to sleep, but kinda gets annoying

how do i tell what chipset i have for audio so i can figure out what guide to use?

thanks !

You could look in your manual or on the Gigabyte website but to save you the trouble it is :
Realtek ALC1150.

thank you !

is it an issue if i go to system properties and look for audio devices and it has all generic listings? (nothing to mention what you said)

for some reason overtime i load clover to modify the config file, it says it can't mount EFI partition...

You don't modify the config.plist with Clover - Do you mean Clover Configurator ?

why wouldn't i have an EFI partition?

You do, in Terminal type :
Code:
diskutil list

Perhaps you installed Clover in Legacy mode in which case your config.plist may be in the /EFI/CLOVER folder on your system disk.

once i have clover configuatior open, how do i do this?

10.10 and newer/Boot flags

  1. Clover/config.plist
    1. Mandatory Add: config.plist/Boot/Arguments/kext-dev-mode=1
    2. Remove: Boot/Arguments/npci=0x3000

Is it really so complicated that you couldn't figure it out ?
