El Capitan Freeze / Hang on Boot

Anyone else having any issues with the Dock and menu-bar freezing for a minute or two on boot? I can still open folders, but the dock is unresponsive (seems to remember what you click on when you click around when it wakes up a bit), then suddenly; everything is fine!

Had no issues on install - all smooth.

Not a major issue, but would like to fix.



Also - Probably an easy one, but my HW monitor only shows HDD temps. No CPU.

Woth noting that I used HP Installer 6.4.4 Beta.

By design, FakeSMC plugins are not installed as they are not CPU efficient.

Install them manually if you want.

Thanks for taking a look. Might just start with a fresh install rather than the many upgrades this has been through.

Lot's of third party stuff (junk) installed (SoundFlower, others).

Try with fresh install.

Soundflower? lol Never heard of it! maybe it was the guy I bought this laptop from. Still think it's something to do with spotlight, but think I'm well overdue for a fresh install! Thanks for looking.

Yeah... if you didn't do the install, and are not aware of what is on the computer... fresh install time...
