El capitan bluray burner not recognized

I have a motherboard P6X58D premium with Intel ICH10 AHCI controller, if I enable in the bios the Bluray sata burner connected to sata 2 port doesn't start the boot with pendrive unibeast 6.0 el capitan and black screen,
if instead I disable the dvd in the bios everything works perfectly and boot correctly. Any suggestions, it's possible solve this issue.

Did you ever get anywhere with this?

I have a GigaByte Z170X-UD5 TH motherboard, and I just got Pioneer BDR-209DBK based on the recommendation in one of the threads here. While I can see the drive (as BDR-209D) in the:

About This Mac -> System Report -> SATA/SATA Expres

it isn't assigned a "BSD Name" as my other SATA devices are, and I cannot do anything with it. Even the eject button on the drive doesn't work (yes, the drive has power). I'm running the 10.11.6.
