I am using the asus z87n Pro wi-fi motherboard (built in bluetooth). I am also using a bluetooth USB dongle which sometimes seems to light up and sometimes doesn't - therefore I don't know if this actually has any effect on my bluetooth.

The problem:
My bluetooth only works when I update my computer and shortly thereafter. I just updated it via the app store and it works for the time being but it will stop working in a few days as it has done in the past.

I presume working kext files are installed everytime I update but are getting overwritten with faulty ones somehow. Any suggestions on what to do?

Update: My bluetooth dongle works when it is flashing and my magic mouse works fine. However, sometimes it doesn't flash and the bluetooth doesn't work. This tells me that the onboard bluetooth isn't working but also this could be a usb problem. However, other usb devices work when plugged into the usb port that it is currently in. Why would the dongle sometimes work and sometimes not? :roll2:
