Hello,

new to the scene so please bear with me...

I've been trying to follow the "UniBeast: Install OS X Yosemite on Any Supported Intel-based PC" guide.

I've tried like 10 times to get it to work on my computer. My computer gets stuck at random points in the install, and I don't want to give up hope.

Intel i7-4790k
MSI Z97-GD65 mobo
16GB ram (maxmem=4096 set as flag)
XFX AMD 7870 gpu (GraphicsEnabler=no set as flag)

I've formatted / reinstalled Unibeast on my USB drive multiple times, one time the farthest I had gotten was
Code:
....
Starting Darwin x86_64
Boot Args: kext-dev-mode=1 -x -v

Then it would cut out and restart my computer.

This most recent time:

The Read HFS+ file: .... would hang at random times but it finally got stuck at:

Code:
Read HFS+ file: [hd(0,1)/System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirportBrcm4360.kext/Contents/MacOS/AirportBrcm4360] 4096 bytes.
[INDENT]EBIOS read error: Controller or device error
[INDENT]Block 0x14aa12 Sectors 0[/INDENT][/INDENT]

Should I be adding another flag? What should I do?

Looks to me to be in the wifi or lan card.
Can you disable rhe wifi in the bios and try again?

If you added a wifi card try also without that.

Tried installing without the gfx card and use the built in gpu instead?

When I get a chance, I will try without the GPU.

I don't have wifi on my mobo, only killer ethernet. :/
