dual r9 280x hdmi working but not mini displayport

sytem works okay in hdmi but i can only get 30hz at 4k, when i trying using one of the mini display ports i can see the bios screen but after it get to clover i get a black screen no signal. is there any fix to this?
 
It's usually not necessary, but the correct framebuffer personality for (reference style) 280X's is "Hamachi".
i found this on another site, i just have no idea where to put it

your right hamachi works, but im still only getting 4k@30hz if i change my monitor setting to dp1.2 my screen splits into two and still im getting 30hz. ive also noitced if i leave the monitor in dp 1.2 and try restarting the system will reboot after it tries loading el capitan.
 
Is it an DP 1.2 SST or MST display? The latter can be troublesome in OS X, no sure if it needs some special fixes to work.
yes its a 1.2 mst dell up3214q. going to try some of these system definitions and see what happens,.
