Dual Monitor with integrated GA-Z87X-D3H

I'm having some trouble getting dual monitor to work and before I go buy anymore adapters I'd like some advice.

I am trying to hook into two Dell 24" monitors (DVI or VGA only)

I currently have it running on one monitor just fine. When I tried to hook up a dual link DVI adapter I got the identical desktop of both monitors and it didn't give me the option to change the mirror option (like it didn't identify the 2nd monitor at all.

I tried to hook it with a HDMI to VGA adapter/converter and it worked for like a minute and then just went blank screen and could not get it to work again.

What I figured I'd try next is a HDMI to DVI adapter and run that and the onboard DVI.

Does anyone have experience with this? I don't really want to keep buying adapters/converters and have it not work.

You cannot dual with analog and digital output... you need to use the dvi and hdmi outputs instead.
Can use hdmi to dvi then but don t expect the hdmi sound to work of course.

I have the same motherboard as you hubb_99. I run DVI to my PC monitor and run HDMI wire to my HDTV, no need for other adapters etc... Hope this solves your issue. Good luck!
