Dual booting Win and OSX & using hidden EFI partition

I was going to ask whether it is possible to setup Windows and OSX so that the PC EFI chameleon bootloader and Extra folder reside on the EFI partition. I think I read somewhere that this doesn't work too well, but I just got it working.

I'm newbing still, but if anyone else is interested, after following Tony's dual boot guide, and then his EFI partition tweaking guide, I adapted Dr. Hurt's steps here (step 8: instead of marking OS X as active, I marked EFI as active) to get the boot loader partition and Windows existing happily together.

I tried to STEP 5: SET THE EFI PARTITION AS ACTIVE
(following your blog Tony)

rdisk1s1 is my EFI partition pls give me step by step instructions
cos I tried 4.Type fdisk -e /dev/rdisk1 and itsnt progressing
am getting errors.
