DSDT - Toshiba Satellite L505 i3 Sandy Bridge - ML 10.8.2

...
and here's the pathetic geekbench result run in 32-bit: http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench2/1558181

I don't know why I was thinking this, but maybe when I saw i3 I assumed i3 Sandy Bridge??
Looks like you have 1st gen i3 according to the geekbench results page.

Probably Sandy Bridge SSDT isn't going to do you a lot of good...

Maybe you should post complete specs for your computer. Don't know why I was thinking it was Sandy... Maybe just a bad assumption on my part.

my bad. all along i was thinking this was a Sandy Bridge, lol. it's not, apparently :)

Product specs: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe....roadvision.session.new=Yes&PRODUCT_ID=1081181

CPU details: http://ark.intel.com/products/47663/Intel-Core-i3-330M-Processor-3M-Cache-2_13-GHz

so do you suggest i remove the SSDT? FWIW, my laptop seems to be a lot cooler (below 40C) hence the fans don't come whirring like crazy.

I'm not sure what the right "formula" is for power management pre-Sandy...
(I see where I got the Sandy Bridge now -- it is in your title...)

You might compare your geekbench between Mac & Windows to see how you are doing performance-wise...

oh well, i just might stick with this as this has been a bit better. will have to install winblows to see the score on this thing when i get some spare time.

thanks for all your efforts, really appreciated. :)

ok, i have managed to mirror my internal display to the external Samsung LCD, however:

1. the internal laptop lcd turns blank
2. how can i extend or mirror my desktop to the samsung via hdmi without the main laptop lcd going blank?

any pointers on which kexts, dsdt parts maybe to edit?
