Hi there,

let me start by saying that this is my first post on here and I only did my first Hackintosh installation yesterday, so please take my reply with a BIG pinch of salt, but I thought I'd share my experiences.

Firstly, let me give you my specs: I've got an ASRock G41M-VS3 motherboard, Core Duo 6660 processor, Nvidia GTX-285, 4GB Ram, 250GB SATA drive and a 32GB USB. I've got Lion 10.7.4 USB thumb drive and I followed the installation guide here: http://geeknizer.com/install-osx-lion-1 ... ntosh-usb/

First thing to note is that the MB doesn't list AHCI as an option, but it does have "enhanced" as an option in the storage section of the bios. I set this to on. I don't know if it did anything or whether it was necessary, but I did it anyway.

When I got to section "IV. Booting the First time", I only did the bootloader section of Multibeast and installed the drivers for my Nvidia card.

To this point I now have a bootable an operational Hackintosh running full accelerated graphics.

What I'm missing:

It was getting late so I don't currently have working Network and I don't know whether my sound card is working as yet (I haven't connected the speakers). But it's important to say that I've done NOTHING with the DSDT file to get this far.

My advice to you is that if you're going to use 10.7.4, like me, and you've got a blank hard disk you're going to install to, give it a go as you've got nothing to lose (except some time) and you may be pleasantly surprised.

Incidentally, because I wasn't sure exactly what I was doing, I did try following some guides for editing the DSDT and also enabled a bunch of options in Multibeast that ended up breaking my install, but this wasn't a big problem. I just re-installed and started again. For me, the install from formatting the hard disk to booting into usable Lion took about 15 minutes.

I hope I've given you some encouragement to give it a go at least and I'd be happy to know if you have any luck.

I'll post back to update on the network and sound functionality when I've got something to report.

Just got the same board and extracted its DSDT file and fixed-patched it with DSDT editor from http://olarila.com/forum/. Attached you will find the DSDT for it. Installed Lion using Unibeast with latest Multi Beast. Selected User DSDT only in MB and rebooted with no problem. After that i selected Atheros for ethernet and rebooted. Finally selected VOODOO and got sound. Also deleted AppleHDA.kext before installing voodoo because it may KP with it. BIOS version is 1.60.
Good luck.

Sometimes it will not shut down completely. The attached DSDT fixes that problem. BIOS still at 1.60. Sorry about that.

Since this is an old chipset I would also like to ask, are the DSDTs in the Database from MacMan for the P55/H55/H57 still viable.
It seems I still have kind of issues. (GA-H57M-USB3 F9)

Can rehabman take a quick look at them to verify?

I am not sure if I got the DSDT to load correctly earlier.
I just placed it in the EFI Clover partition again and now it gives me a Kernel Panic. So it seems that the old DSDT patches might not work.
