I had a 100% working 10.6.4 Hackintosh, so I didn't think I would have much trouble upgrading to 10.6.5 last week. But i did. I had loads of problems.
So I decided to do a fresh install of 10.6.4 on a spare harddrive and copy over the files that 10.6.5 changed. I thought it was a good idea at the time .
It seemed to go alright, my first bootup was in safe mode to just check a couple of things, when i booted up i downloaded 10.6.4 combo update and ran it against my old harddrive. I then ran kext utility and fixed permissions. I thought this would of put the Operating system in the same 100% working state I was in last week. But it didn't.
When I boot up now I get a screwed up Desktop its hard to describe so I've attached a picture. Can anyone help me out?
