Hi guys,

I have a Samsung NP350V5C-A08UK, running Mountain Lion. Everything works, except WiFi (and sleep, but that doesn't bother me). There are so many Atheros WiFi cards out there, with some kind of working kext available. What's the deal with the AR9485? It's hardly a rare card. It's not even that new.

What're are chances of getting a kext/DSDT fix at some point? We already have a Linux driver. Anyone out there any good at porting drivers? Lynx2Mac did it with an Ethernet controller. It must be possible.

Anyone out there got any ideas?

I can`t believe it also. And I`m seeing this 2 years later.
Can any one tell me, why are there "unsupported" cards? Will like to understand the why of the problem.
Isn`t there a way? absurd as it may sound??

The reason is extremely simple and completely obvious.

OS X is created for Apple computers. Apple products don't use AR9485.
