Does the Apple remote works?

Hey guys id like to buy an Apple remote. Does it work with bluetooth or only with infrared?and how can i get it work?thanks

Only infrared, I use the Logitech Harmony 885 with my system but it's the same in principle.

The 885 is infrared only I am afraid, I do use bluetooth but only with the Magic Mouse, Keyboard, Keypad and Trackpad...

Ah ok, but how you installed infrared on your Pc?

For what it's worth, here's what I'm using for a remote setup:

IOGEAR GBU421 BT Dongle
Sony PS3 Blu-Ray Remote
Remote Buddy Software

With an edit to the IOBluetoothFamily.kext file you can enable wake from sleep for the dongle.
I keep the dongle plugged into a powered USB 2.0 hub as I found that it would cause a problem when directly plugged into a MB USB port.

Other then that, everything is golden.

Always good to have another option.
