Late 2006 C2D iMac here. I'd probably still be using it if its GPU hadn't gone all flaky on me (random gradient fans, strange lines in windows, UI freezes). It was a nice little machine.

Before that I had a beige G3 from 1998-2006; by the end, I had replaced the hard drive, optical drive, CPU twice, RAM twice, added a flashed PC Radeon 7000 and a USB PCI card--the only pieces of original equipment left in the case when it finally gave up the ghost were the motherboard and the power supply. Shipped with Classic Mac OS 8.0, died running 10.4 Tiger.

I just recently owned a Macbook Pro 13" Late 2011 model after being a proud Hackintosh user for about 1 year now. Owning an Apple product really does give you a sense of pride when you have already conquered the domain of the half eaten apple with a custombeast of your own.

I don't own a modern functional apple-hardware macintosh anymore. I have a couple of old Mac Plus models in the basement. Look, I way overpaid my dues to Apple buying their hardware since 1978. I don't feel guilty at all. I see every hackintosh as a giant victory for Apple over the backwards stupid Microsoft Windoze idiocy. Everywhere I go everybody has an iPhone and I cheer Apple's success. I love Apple. I got into hackintosh for the adventure and I love it.

I also have a Mac Mini but wanted a power computer so I build a hackintosh.
