(For your information.)

I just upgraded my BIOS of ASUS P8P67 from version 2303 to 3207.
Then, the audio cannot be enabled on my Sandy Bridge system.
The FlashTool in BIOS does not allow the BIOS to be downgraded.
Therefore, I am stuck unless I use a Windows tool to downgrade the BIOS.
Unfortunately, I do not have Windows installed... :(

By the way, I have searched on the Web.
Some other people running Windows may have other problems.
It indicates that BIOS version 3207 seems to be buggy!

If anyone knows how to downgrade the BIOS without MS Windows,
I (and someone done the same thing as I did) will be glad to hear that.

You can erase and reflash your bios with ubuntu live cd. Google for instructions. Can you post the DSDT from the 3207 bios extracted with dsdtse?

I have never tried DSDTSE before.
I just choose "Tools / Extract DSTD", and then "File / Save .dsl".
Here is the compressed DSL file.

If you know how to turn my audio back on, please help me out.
Thanks a lot.

Don't know if this will help but probably worth a look

oh and for some annoying reason this forum inserts a '_' between the end of the web address and the '.com' part, just remove that in the address bar and press enter for the link to work

Thank you all for information, but those information is not what I really want.

I have finally decided to use a Windows system to downgrade my BIOS back to v2303. I followed the steps in this page, and successfully rolled back to v2303:

My audio is back now. :headbang:

Erasing the BIOS may damage your board.
Be careful. Think twice if you want to take the same step.

!!!Important Warning!!!

If you follow the steps in the link above to flash your BIOS from v3207 to v2303
by using the AMI tool, you will not be able to adjust DRAM and CPU speed on
your K version of CPU (e.g., my i5-2500K)!!!

I noticed that later on, and then I tried to flash my BIOS from v2303 back to
v3207 with EZ Flash in BIOS. You will NOT want to do that because that act
bricks two of my motherboards!!! They must be returned to ASUS for repair...

[ Here is my suggestion ]
If you unfortunately have upgraded to v3207, stay with it until there is a solution.
Buy a USB Sound Dongle such as AudiMax from Mediatek or SA110 from Uptech.
They are cheap (about USD $13), and they work right out of box without the
need for any driver.

Don't repeat my miserable mistake... >_<
