EVGA Z77 FTW mobo. UEFI. i7-3770K. 32 gigs of RAM. Do I even need a DSDT in this UEFI age? And if so, I'm looking for a guide on how to bust out a dsdt real quick since I just finally booted after installation. The old information was pre-UEFI so I'm not as sure as I was about how to make one, but more than likely I already have the tools I need downloaded. I just forget how to do it.

Thanks for your help!

You probably don't need a DSDT, but more than likely will need a patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kext or NullCPU kext with that board.

Thanks for your reply. In the meantime I started to follow the guide at

should I... abort mission? lol

Yeah, I wouldn't waste any more time trying to make a working DSDT; you don't need it. Just do as Going Bald says and flash a patched BIOS instead to get power management working if you need to. Here are a couple of threads to read:

Although there are no BIOSes ready-made for EVGA motherboards, there are instructions and tools there for patching it yourself.
