Display Questions HD4000

I posted about one of these issues in Post Instal/General Help forum, but I probably should have posted in here...live and learn.

My first issue is with my HDMI TV having this layering issue when I boot up and when I try to use Steam games in full screen (see attachments). After boot up if I switch to a different TV input (From HDMI to TV for instance) and then back to HDMI it seems to refresh the screen and look fine. I can't do that with Steam though. Steam stays jacked up if I switch from HDMI and then back again.

The second is that I can't mirror displays between my DVI and HDMI displays. I can only extend the desktop. Any ideas as to what I could do to fix these issues?

UPDATE: Steam in full screen through DVI is a mess as well. See last picture.

I have a similar problem on my secondary display which is going HDMI (HD 4000) to DVI (Display) but in order to get around it, I had to lower the resolution down to just 1024x768 which isn't what I wanted (Hoping to be able use 1280x768 and higher). Anyone in the TMX86 crew care to help us both ?
