Hi!

I'm running 10.11 on a Elitebook 8470p I recently got, Clover 3320.

My issue is
1 - Random sudden freezing, followed by a reboot. The error message OS X displays after the reboot is below.
2 - Artifacts on display - I did use the correct Clover config file for my HD4000. Hrmnn i just changed the colour profile to the Hp Probook 4530s Original and my artifacts have vanished. Well that might have resolved it!

I hope it's not a hardware issue...

Do EC reset.

Hi Rehabman, thank you so much for responding!

It's still happening though, I did an EC reset for over a minute, probably total overkill.
Wondering if I should just format and try Yosemite....

I haven't had any problems with 10.11/HD4000.

HD3000 experiences glitches, especially without 8GB (dual-channel) RAM, but no problems with HD4000.

What kexts have you installed after you installed el capitan? I have experienced this problem before so I might be able to help

Thanks!

The standard set as from the 'HP Probook installer' for this model of HP elitebook as indicated on the guide for 10.11, nothing extra. Want me to list them?

Sounds like something is wrong with your hd4000 which is quite odd for a integrated graphic. Has this problem start as soon as you installed El Capitan?

Right.

Well no it's a 'new' machine I got refurbished from a computer shop downtown. So I don't know. Maybe i should try Yosemite, though I suspect I'll have the same problem.

to be clear, the artifacts are a separate issue, the major one is crashing... (not sure if they're related)

Most likely your patched DSDT is out-of-sync with your native DSDT.

Or something else is configured incorrectly...
