Hi all,
All was fine on 10.12.4. I made a nice backup, and tried to upgrade to 10.12.5.
- Download OK
- Install OK
But after reboot, start loading and then.... switch off alone.
I booted from the back-up, and disk-utility says that the updated disk is corrupted and cannot be repaired.
So OK, I formatted the whole disk, superduper'ed the backup, booted, and worked fine with 10.12.4.
So I tried again.
--> same result !
So not an issue with the disk but the update itself. I tried though the combo update (separate download) and through the App Store update. Same result.
The disk says the node misses files, and other strange things, something like the total is not there and that Sierra is not very happy about it.
By the way, I have to delete AppleHPET Kext when I update. Is there a new check on the total files ?
I can survive on my current version, but hey, I would like the latest one for sure.
I search through older threads, but nothing similar to my case that I could find.
Any idea ?
Many thanks in advance
