Edit: Admin, could you please move this to where you think the post is most appropriate.
I don't know if this an appropriate place to ask or not, but I'm curious to hear what users experiences are developing in Xcode on their hackintosh's. I haven't seen any threads about it and thought it might be a good topic to start.
Anyways, I've probably spent about 30 hours now working on an iOS app on my hackintosh. Everything has been working very well but I've run into a couple of minor issues. For this first one I'm not sure if it's my OS, but of course it's a suspect.
I have this iOS app I've been working on, it's targeting iOS 5. I have an iPad 2 running iOS 5. I am a registered (paying) developer, and the device is registered. I've gotten to the point where I would like to test it on my device, but I am getting an error message whenever I try to do so. I'm not on OS X right now so I can't look at the error message, but basically it says the device is not a compatible iOS 5 device.
I also had an issue the other day where my screen was flashing off while I was doing dev in Xcode. It's not a huge problem, but a bit of an annoyance. I'd be in the middle of writing a line of code and the screen goes out for maybe 1-5 seconds. It happened about five times within a thirty minute period. It had never happened before, and it has never happened again.
