hi,

i am new to this forum. first of all i would like to thank you for this.

now, my problem is that i don't know how to install snow leopard 10.6 on my pc

Mainboard : Dell 0J509P
Chipset : Intel P55
Processor : Intel Core i7 720QM @ 1600 MHz
Physical Memory : 4096 MB (2 x 2048 DDR3-SDRAM ) 1333MHz
Video Card : ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
Hard Disk : ST9500420AS (500 GB)
DVD-Rom Drive : HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GA31N ATA Device
Monitor Type : MC13K€173WD1 - 17 inches
Network Card : BCM4310 USB Controller
Network Card : RTL8168/8111 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Home Edition 6.01.7600 (x64)
DirectX : Version 11.00
Windows Performance Index : 5.9 on 7.9

i used iboot, iboot-ge to get to chameleon and it works every time but when i insert the snow leopard dvd the installationprocesse stops shortly after with an error.

i tryed -x -v cpus=1 busratio=12 in any constallation but nothing happend.

could someone tell me how to install?
maybe someone with the same system who got it to run? What biossetting do i have to choose?

try typing

-x -x legacy GraphicsEnabler=no cpus=2 busratio=27 PCirootUID=1

lengthy process but worked for me fine on my dell 1747... obviously thats only one problem overcome you run into more after installation which im trying to resolve :) good luck

With the i7 720QM the busratio you need is 12.

I used -x -v busratio=12 GraphicsEnabler=No - this enabled me to get into the SL installation, and for the reboot to install Chameleon etc.
Afterwards, I could drop the -x flag and need only busratio=12 and GraphicsEnabler=No.
This will enable you to boot with low resolution.

Follow this thread for info as it happens with enabling HD resolution with this graphics card - no-one has yet replicated making this work (but it has been done accidentally!). I am certain we will get a breakthrough in the next few days.
