Dell Precision M6600 + ATI 6970M (FirePro8900) Black Screen

Hi together,

I installed the very latest version of Lion on my Dell Precision M6600 and most things running fine but the laptop display.

I get the signal on external VGA port with working QE/CI. VGA is the only Monitor detected and no other monitors are available from system prefs. The Notebook Display switched to a black screen during bootup and external VGA works well.

I changed the smbios.list to set the computer type to imac. iMac uses the 6970M i think. Is that ok?

I already try to modify the DSDT - without success. Maybe i need halp with that.

The M6600 currently uses the BIOS A09 and the hardware specs looks a very little bit like Alienware devices.

Please help to make this type of machine running Lion.

or http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=208410 It was the only way i could boot with my lcd screen enabled on my dell n4030.It still doesn't wake after sleep but other than that works fine.
