Hi There,

I am running the Dell P2715Q off one of the thunderbolt ports of the Gigabyte GA Z97X UD7 TH but the max resolution I get is 2560x1440. I have installed windows 8.1 (on a separate SSD) and installed the gigabyte thunderbolt driver from their website, 'to activate the ports' as suggested elsewhere on this forum but that did not help. On windows the monitor is running at its max resolution.

Another strange issue is that Yosemity (first 10.10.2 and I am now on 10.10.3) does not boot when the monitor is connected and powered on (I have another post on this http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-h...-memmory-allocation-error-add-0xdeadbeef.html)

Thanks for any suggestion to get this solved!

Robert

Is there anyone out there that is running a Dell P2714Q at the full resolution??

I don't get it working through my on board graphics and am thinking of buying
evga-geforce-gtx-750-1gb-superclocked.

Anyone any positive result with this combination?

thanks a lot
robert

I have posted a few messages but never got a reply from anyone.
i am wondering if I am doing something wrong or that my posts are just being boycotted :).

Can anyone just reply to this message??

Thanks,
robert

Naw, your good. Just a dumb mistake you might have googled.

Integrated graphics can't run the 2715q @ 4k. I have the 15q and the 15k, and neither can be pushed farther than 1440p except with a discrete gpu.

Hi Bob,

thanks for your message! I googled like crazy but couldn't find this.
are you able to boot normally when the monitor is switched on?

Cheers,
robert
