Hello All,
I am tearing what little hair I have left....out !

I am trying (and have been trying for days) to install a build using Mojave OSX.
When I come to the clover screen when booting from the USB stick.
As per the guide, I turn on the verbose (-v) mode then Install OSX and it'll go through the motions untill I get to
the line (Pic):
IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sw 0x0
EFI Verbose Screen Mojave.JPG

I have tried various EFI builds that people have generously put up on the forums....No joy.

I have NOT tried the display port cable..yet...just the VGA.
However, I have seen various posts saying it will not work via the standard 15 pin vga cable.
Can anyoine confirm this?
Is it a simple case of changing to a display port cable ( I haven't got one at the moment)
Or am I making a basic mistake?

Kind Regards

My setup:
Dell Optiplex 3020M
CPU: Intel Core i3-4160T 3.10Ghz
Video: Intel HD Graphics 4400
Audio: Realtek ALC3234
Motherboard chipset Intel® H81

Serial port(s) should be disabled in the BIOS settings.

Good Evening Feartech & Pilgrim,
Just to clarify...
Disable the setting in the computer bios or is it a setting in clover?
Also, using a display to hdmi cable will solve my problem?

Thanks in advance & kind regards

serial port in your bios needs to be disabled as already mentioned

Hello all,

UPDATE:
After Feartech & P1LGRIM's advice I was able to move on from my initial problem.
However.........

I have reached an impasse.
I managed to format the drive at the OSX screen and have begun to install OSX Mojave.
I got to the screen 'Restart to Complete the Installation'
I left the USB stick in.
It reboots.
The animated grey gearwheel does it's thing....

The Clover Boot manager appears.
I have these options:

i) Boot macOS Install from Install macOS Mojave.
ii) Boot Filevault Prebooter from Preboot.
iii) Boot macOS Install Prebooter from Preboot.
iv) Boot macOS from Mac.
v) Boot Recovery from Recovery

Underneath the above options I have:

vi) Start UEFI Shell 64.
vii) Clover Boot Options.
viii) Options.
ix) About Clover. (version 2.4k rev 4586)
x) Restart Computer.
x1) Exit Clover.

If I leave the USB stick in and reboot in I just get the above Clover Boot Manager options.

If I take out the USB stick and reboot I get these options:

No bootable devices found.
Press F1 key to retry boot.
Press F2 key for setup utility.
Press F5 key to run onboard diagnostics.

I am stuck at this point.

Can someone generously help/guide me as to where I go from here so that I may get to the actual
OSX setup and then the Mojave OSX desktop?

Post Scriptum,
When I initially formatted the hard disk, I only had format options of APFS at the OSX Install/Disk Utilities screen.
I'm guessing this is the new Apple File System.

Kind Regards

I think you want the option:
iii) Boot macOS Install Prebooter from Preboot.
To continue/finalize the installation. Until you run MultiBeast at the end, you will continue to need the USB drive to boot MacOS.
