Dell Inspiron 3179

So, I couldn't find anyone saying if my new laptop would work...figured the only way to find out was to just go for it. Stuff from @RehabMan helped a ton as well as some other posters.

Waiting on the hackintosh wifi card coming from china is holding up the wifi and imessage from working.
But other than that I have as much working as anyone does on Sierra.
Actually no, I am still figuring out getting AppleLPC.kext to load....may follow up in that other thread.

just wanted to let anyone else who has one / is looking for a new laptop that it is viable.

Still, If I placed any value on my time and didn't enjoy the whole process it would have been much easier / cheaper to buy the real mac.

Please help me i have the same blue aptop Dell inspiron 3179 (CORE M3 7y30 and HD615). And i even can't install Mac OS. Installing Sierra 10.12.6 with clover, process goes first, but than laptop reboots with something like kernel panic. I really dont know what to do, maybe you can help me with yours installation guide, and BIOS\Clover settings.

Do you make it (dell 3179) work with macos? , BTW what hdmi version on this laptop ?

This particular laptop is an interesting case. I've never seen something so annoying in my life. the macOS installer just doesn't boot no matter what you do. Just constant panic reboots
