dddirtmans g5 project

more pix
i removed the (drive cart)both drives in mac carrier instead...looks neater.
cleaned up some wires
made a plexi cover to hide extra p/s wires.

10.7.1 on both builds
i recommend cloned drive before any updates!!!!!!!!!!(carbon copy)!!!
my g5 panicked on update,would not boot even with (switches)
booted with backup. multi beast to bad drive(deleted voodoohda,renamed applehda)..
touched kexts....all is good.. :thumb up:



app store not working on i7(g5) build (computer cant be verified?)
my i3 build (g4) works fine..?
 
my msi board went bad.no ethernet i smelled sumthin cook...
still booted though...
bought a asus sabertooth x58(couldnt get a gigibyte)..
runs win 7 nice wont boot osx....i read posts and tried all kinds of boot(switches)
wont even let me do a clean install double kps..
so im down 1 mac this build is win 7 yuck...

Wait a sec there is a trick to the Sabertooth :D
and I know it!
 
Dug this up hope it helps,

For the Sabertooth X58 install you need to do the following:

1) DVD drive MUST be connect to SATA II port 0 and HD to SATA 3 port 0.
2) Boot with iBoot and install
3) Before booting from hard drive after installation move HD to SATA II port 0 and DVD to any other SATA II port.
3) Boot with iBoot and finish installation and run MultiBeast.




wish I saw your app store error as well, I have a fix for that too :(
