I'm trying to install mavericks on an h61m-ds2, but am having difficulty with finding the correct strings. I'm using a GT240 for graphics. Anybody with a good idea? I did a search earlier, and the only suggestion I found said to try boot strings of: GraphicsEnabler=1, PCIRootUID=1
Still getting a dark screen.

10.8.5 works fine on this machine. I used Unibeast 3.0 to create the Mavericks installer. I used the installer successfully on a different machine with Internal graphics.

Any ideas?

GraphicsEnabler should be Yes or No - Not a numeric value.

Try GraphicsEnabler=Yes or GraphicsEnabler=No

Yes, that was a typo. I normally use the non-numeric value. I just went and tried it again to double check myself.

I've replaced my GT240 with a 640, and Mavericks is now installing.

I was getting Kernel panics with the 240

What boot strings are you using? Also, on the 640, are you using a dvi connection or HDMI?

Im using GraphicsEnable=No and npci=0x3000

I have a different Mobo to the OP (ASUS P8H61-MX).

ive had three monitors hooked to the card on the two DVI and VGA, during install i only used the DVI.
