CVMCompiler quit unexpectedly, finder icons and menu bar icons dissapeared

Did most of what you said, attached are the rehab man zip and my IOReg (just open IOReg and save as?) not sure about the last part? put it in terminal and it returned the following

Power management is not implemented correctly (NullCPU is installed).

okay, thought i'd done it, but ill have a read through. I don't think this is why CVMCompiler is quitting though?

No idea. Maybe/maybe not. But with NullCPU, is incorrect configuration.

I think you should fresh install.
 
Alright i'll make sure power management is working, and then see what happens, weird as it still runs normalish, system preferences is broken, freezes on clicking privacy, spotlight, etc!

fresh install is best bet i guess!
