No news??? :S same problem with z77 up5 th,

change to 96 but is not the final solution, still happens ... and I my old same apogge duet...:banghead:

I am not sure if you still need the solution to your problem. But I had similar issue and installing a driver + Optional 3rd port audio enabler from Multibeast 5.4.3 solved the issue (note that 5.5.5 didn't work).

I have fixed a similar issue. I was having loads of crackling/static noise - particularly when something graphical was happening - i.e. moving the mouse, i would hear corresponding static. Playing World of Warcraft - horrendous noise.

I also noticed increased static when i upgraded from my Nvidia GTX660 to GTX960.

I ended up buying a Ground Loop Isolator with 3.5mm in and out, and it stopped the issue instantly. It was $9.95

totally fixed.

Not sure why it seems so bad on Hackintosh systems, but anyway - it's a fix.

Cheers,

Seb

Well I did some experiments and have a solution on my side :
Open Utilities -> Audio and Midi
In the Built in Output you're using : set Format 96000Hz, 2ch 16 bits

With this config I have no more crackling audio
Thanks, that worked for me.

I solved it by going to VoodooHDA settings and slide input gain all the way down.
