I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 but when i look in About This Mac it shows me
Processor Intel Core 2 Solo
Numbers of processors 1
Numbers of cores 1

I think this could affect performance. Am i right?. If it foes it, how can i fix it?.

Thanks in advance.

Ok, i'll try and see.
BTW, what should i do if i get KP when changing definition?. I'm really tired of restoring with Time Machine every time i got KP. :|

boot using iboot if that happens again

which version of SL are you using?
i was under the impression that the kernel determines whether the cpu model name is recognised, not the definition?

Believe me, when that happend iBoot doesn't make it boot, neither using -v -f -x flags.

I'm using SL 10.6.7. I was going to update to 10.6.8, but i don't have a DSDT configured, and i don't have an linux ISO to extract mine.
