I have windows 7 installed on an old 2.5" 5400rpm hard drive that came with my mbp and for some reason its terribly slow compared to when I was dual booting it through bootcamp with that mbp, could anyone elaborate on this?

Also the clock does not set properly, the time zone is right but the time is not and I have to keep updating it everytime I login.

any help would be appreciated, thx all.

Generally, it is not a good idea to transplant a Windows install from one machine to another. First of all, there will be activation issues. Second, you're probably loading drivers not appropriate for the new computer. Best to do a fresh install. Finally, 5400 rpm drives are slow.
