Always important to keep your USB installer. It is an important recovery tool.

As to whether you should download again, that is your choice...

Aside from running the installer again, you can also use Pacifist to extract the vanilla kext from the installer app. But either way you are going to need the installer.

Last I checked, the AppleHDA in the installer is incomplete. It is lacking various non-English language localizations.
