Hi,

I have a GA-Z68MA D2H B3 + I5 2500K + Gigabyte GTX460 SOC + HDD SATA2 + DVD Retail OSX 10.6.3... I am waiting for 8Gb Gskill DDR3 1600 CAS7 so i am waiting with 2Gb Kigston 1333 CAS9...and i tried a bluetooth dongle from creative labs

I am a real noob and i was affraid to do something wrong but i tried yesterday... Thanks to the post of COPY838 (but i don't understand the post install part sorry i am french ;) )

I do some change in bios
I used Iboot for install OSX dvd
at the end of installation, no LAN...
I put my usb stick to install Combo update 10.6.7, BridgeHelper, I put DSDT.aml on the desktop (the one of H67MA D2H)

I used Multibeast 3.6 ... but there i am lost...

i tried (sorry i don't take note) UserDSDT + NVenabler + NVidia 2.xxx ???? + usb nec/... + Imac... + ALC889 + Realtek81XXX

After this i install chimera 1.4 (don't know wich one to choose for enabling the boot)

and reboot

it seems ok... my Acer 245HQBid goes in 1080p but this time my GPU is unknow (in the previous installation tried it was identified as GTX460)

I don't have speakers for the moment but i hear sound through my USB headphone logitech G35

info about my mac told imac 3,3ghz but unknown cpu...

It also tell to be in 32 bit...why ? because actually i only have 2Gb of Ram ?

I download geekbench and get a score of 4150... a shame no ??? with a I5 2500K ?

I would love to have dual Boot Seven 64bits + OSX

I need a little help to understand what to do with multibeast and post install please

My setup

GA-Z68MA-D2h-B3
i5-2500K
4x2 ADATA 1600 RAM
ATI 5770
PCIe firewire card
1T harddisk
10.6.7 updated from Retail 10.6 DVD

Basic:
33x
Bridgehelper 2.1
MultiBeast 3.6
Same DSDT from H67MA-D2H
Chiimera 1.4

Post install:

10.7.4 Kernel and AppleAHCI port kext extracted from iMac 2011 update
smbios.plist adjustment for correct profile display

Result: 100% working (except not sure USD3.0 though it shows up in profile, could be still speed of 2.0). 64 bits Geekbench is 9330 using MacPro 3.1

I got all instructions and files from this forum. Tks very much.

update: 33x working and no need for sleepenabler

USB3 working ?
sleep working ? and wake it up ?

Thanks
Alf

USB super speed bus appeared on profiler. Can connect USB 2 and 3 to the port. Not sure about the speed.

Sleep, auto-sleep and wakeup work.

Attached is mutlibeast setting.

DSDT is 1.0

thanks.

It would be great if you had little time to put some benchmark results...

USB 3.0 - I understand the issue of different chips.

AHCI kext in S/L/E

10.7.4 kernel in root.

AHCI kext - use kext utility to install

10.7.4 on root level - if you want to keep 10.7.3 kernel, rename 10.7.4 to something like
mach_kernel_SB and point com.apple.Boot.plist to it.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel_SB</string>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string></string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
</dict>
</plist>

I need help deciding the graphic card to use.

Gigabyte GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD4-B3
i7-2600K.
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Sony Optiarc (OD)
HD (I'LL USE ANY of the ones I got for now) I'll get a SSD and 1T drive later.

I'll use this computer for Photoshop and basic video editing, mostly home movies kids recitals.

any suggestion will be appreciated French and noobie here.

mach.Kernel 10.7.3 is hidden. If you use same name for 10.7.4, you can't replace original kernel simply by dragging the file to top level.

Further you can play with geekbench just change the kernel string in com.apple.Boot.plist without new installation.
