I've been using RehabMan's fork of FakeSMC, the monitoring plug-ins, and the HWMonitor.app (which is forked from kozlek's branch). The version number on HWMonitor.app is currently 6.26.1440, and the FakeSMC.kext version corresponds, at least the major numbers (it's currently at 6.26-322-g1b20eab7.1765). But the sensors stopped working for me. So I went in search of a solution.
What I found has me really confused: HWSensors3 (repository at https://sourceforge.net/projects/hwsensors3.hwsensors.p/), which says it's a HWSensors branch based on FakeSMC-3.x. That's what has me confused. Can anyone explain the versioning discrepancy? And can you reassure me that my system will boot if I replace my current FakeSMC.kext (the RehabMan version) with this newer one (which is versioned 3.5.0)?
