Im assuming you have an Asus laptop? I have a UX303 and I for the life of me CANNOT get it working no matter what I do, Ive since resorted to VoodooHDA and AppleHDA in a hybrid configuration where AppleHDA only does the HDMI audio and VoodooHDA handles everything else. One person did have success with an Asus ROG laptop getting the mic working, see the links below.

I have patched AppleHDA for this specific codec. You might wanna try this injector kext. Make sure layout-id=3 and use it with RehabMan's CodecCommander.kext.

CodecCommander.kext is required with the SSDT I included in the zip file. Without it, the external mic will not work.

You might wanna try the injector kext in post #3. I have the internal & external microphones working with this codec.

If the injector kext doesn’t work for you, feel free to attach your codec_dump and I’ll take a look at it and see if the injector kext needs modifications for it.
