Computer crashing when I try to shutdown, restart or sleep.

I tried looking around for help but couldn't find any. My computer crashes with that grey screen that says "you need to power off" when I try to restart or shutdown. When I enter sleep mode, it just freezes on the desktop with the mouse and then comes back like 20 secs later. How can I fix this? Anyone have any similiar problems?

I have version 10.7.2 Lion btw. Fresh install.
