Compiled kabyl's branch from chameleon svn (rev. 679).

Works like a charm with my Radeon HD 5850. BUT. I noticed a significant performance drop-down with the older version found on http://www.kexts.com (guess rev. 486).

Allthough there's better hardware recognition (i7 920 in system profiler etc....) I really don't like my system is performing slower as before... You might be thinking that a revision from 486 to 679 should at least not get any worse but tested it with XBench, OpenCLbench and OpenMark and it sure does.

Anybody any idea why? / where to discuss ??

That is weird since I got his boot r674 installed and my system performance is actually much improved. I can not explain it but snow leopard boots much faster after the login screen. Boot time is the same before that.
How is your performance degraded? like in loading apps?

Wanna post r679 for me to check?

Boot is fine but xbench and openmark etc.. give lower performence...
Here the latest Kabyl (698) and the older one (faster)

The latest Kaybl is r679 and already is in MultiBeast.

Ive the same Perfomance with both Versions.
But i( and others)have a Black Screen Problem with the latest Version v679 on my 5750!
The Display goes Black without any Reason on SL Desktop.

No Problem with oldest Version (486) or the other booter with AtiRom=yes.
i can surely reproduce it, as soon i use the latest Version the Problem is present

Maybe it has to do with the Fact that the new boother shows 1 Monitor more then the old Version in System Info/Graphics
