Did you try booting with your usb as the first booter loader?

You go into your bios and look for where you can set up your usb to be the bootloader.

Tried it with no success. I have an ASUS TUF, press f2 and enter the motherboard and can rearrange the USB to boot first. Still goes to the clover drive selector screen. Alternatively Ive pressed f8, selected to boot from the USB, same results. The USB shows up as an option on the clover drive screen, selecting it runs the apple loading screen, takes about 4 minutes to fill the bar then just hangs there. Selecting the recovery drive, it goes black like the monitor shut off. Not sure what to do now.. :/
