I have the ASUS P5K-E WIFI and i think that i have tried everthing but my cmos changes everytime. I have put my edited dsdt file in the root but it is still not working. What am i doing wrong?

Have you looked in MultiBeast under Drivers & Bootloaders/Kexts & Enablers/Miscellaneous.

ElliottForceLegacyRTC

Prevents a CMOS reset on reboot without a DSDT. Installed in /Extra/Extensions. Install with System Utilities tasks.

That might help....though it says if no DSDT, can you check that your DSDT board rev/version matches your BIOS exactly if you did use a DSDT.

I used a DSDT from the patcher program and I also tried the kext and it still doesn't hold the correct time in the CMOS. I will try again

Is this Mac only or dual-boot?

Is it only losing the time or is it forgetting anything else?

If dual boot and only time....there is a way to synchronize the time, you will have to search the forums as that issue has come up a number of times.
