For anyone with this problem, the fix for me to all the system to continue booting, was to enable USB Ownership in config.plist (or using Clover Configurator, there is a checkbox for it). Once checked, the system boots fine and USB ports work.
Setting `USB FixOwnership` to `true` fixed it for me: https://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/Devices#devices_usb_usb-fixownership.
how do you do this? do you just add it to the bootflags?
i'm sorry but i have no idea how to do this :sNo, in the EFI partition of your USB drive, you have to modify the `/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist` (see this explanation on what to modify exactly).
check this out on how to mount the EFI partition: http://themacadmin.com/mounting-the-efi-boot-partition-on-mac-os-x/
when you've done this, you can run the command `open /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist` in Terminal. this opens the `config.plist` file, which you'll have to modify according to the link in my last post.
thank you so much dude gonna focus on this hope it works in a VM
I just found another way, although this does not make the change persistent and you have to do it again after every reboot.
Boot up to the Clover screen. Then go to `Options` > `PCI devices` and set the checkbox at `USB Ownership`. Then go back to Clover start screen and start the installation.
