Add this to the next Multibeast version

http://www.tomsick.net/projects/antipop.html

Although it's from 2009 and not updated since then it's still working on 10.8.3.
I use it myself

As undeadlegion pointet out

"Actually the original author open sourced it, and it's now on github so it can definitely be included in Multibeast"

https://github.com/Sep102/antipop

Best Regards

Antipop 1.02

You don't even mention what the purpose of this is? What do you use it for and why?

It is an old issue also for "real" mac users

OSX for some od reason puts internal sound card to sleep after a while when inactive even on real mac's and you get a delayed popping sound when it wake up if you for instance start iTunes or just change the volume
I don't know if this is an issue on Asus boards but it's ben an issue on all my (4) Gigabyte boards since 10.6.7

Antipop 1.02

arehep, toleda mentions popping in his ML applehda thread.
have you tried switching sysdefs or using the black/orange ports?

Audio Popping Solutions
After a short period of no audio, the amp is turned down/quieted to eliminate static/noise. When the audio signal returns, the amp is repowered causing a pop. Choices are:
1. digital audio (HDMI, optical, USB, etc.)
2. black or orange ports
3. anti pop software
4. macpro3,1 system definition
5. windoz

Yeah just tried both black and orange output but no sound.
And i don't really care as that antipop 1.02 has done the job for me the last four years
and still does.
I just thought that after introducing other sysdefs than the default MacPro's in Multibeast
it would be and easy and 100% working solution.
But !!! Closed
So never mind :)
