C4D is my one and only reason I spent money on this machine. i7 3770k, 32GB RAM, SSD, GT480. Sounds screaming fast? Yes. And for the most part it is. Luxmark scores in the right place (754). Cinebenc's OpenGL gives 42.xx FPS.

Still. When I run C4D the machine is underperforming (compared to a 2008 MacPro). Can't even update C4D from 14.014 to 14.034 because the viewport becomes slow beyond usability.

Anyone having the same issues? Any solutions?

I was planning on using this build for Cinema 4D as well. Now I'm not so sure.

Any ideas or advice?

Thanks!

Hey I know this is kind of an old thread but have you tried cinebench on the same machine on osx and win? I see a great performance dropdown on it as well as on c4d. I had to switch to windows to work on it.

Have you solved that problem with cinema 4d?
