Chimera slow boot screen

It's like the whole bootscreen is running 5 frames per second. And it's not very responsive at alll. When I press a key, it takes around half a second for the key to function.

Also the timeout bar counts down really slow. I set it to 1 second in the boot.plist, but it takes like 3 seconds to empty the whole bar.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

PS. Installed Chimera few days ago along with a fresh Mavericks setup. Version is 2.2.1 r2248 that comes with current Multibeast.
