Hello,
I build a rig with a z87x-ud3h mobo, a i5-4670k and 2 old hd5870 ati graphics cards from a precedent hackintosh. With Multibeast every things were working fine.
now i have a Sapphire r9 290 tri-x to play on W7. Don't work in Mavericks. Can you tell me if a cheap card like GT 610 works with Mavericks ?
I can put it in a second PCIe and change the order of loading in the bios.

I am in a similar situation to yourself. I need a cheap/less power hungry for a different reason... but anyways.

There are three versions of the GT 630 listed here http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-630/specifications

The last one is Kepler based and that it what I would choose. I am currently using a GeForce 210 (Works in Mavericks and therefor the GT 610 should as well, just much slower and not much cost savings) and my OEM GT 635 (almost identical to the GT 630 Kepler) will be here in a few days.

There are some new OEM GT 635's on eBay for about $40.00 with shipping. I could not pass it up.

I will be glad to report back once I get it installed. Really looking forward to having 384 Cuda cores for iMovie.

You'll get much better results with the GT640. I've never seen anyone use a GT 635 in a CustoMac.
Check out this MSI model for only 40 USD after rebate.

Well I have to A. have a low-profile card and B. have power consumption under 35-Watts. The OEM GT 635 was the fastest card I could find that meets both of those specs. I use some GT 640's in Windows machines and really like them though.

Edit:

Yeah if you have a full-height slot open and can get a GT-640 for $40.00 that would be a pretty deal.
