Change Windows installation drive

Situation: I have a multiboot hackintosh with the option to boot Windows which is installed on an separate old 1tb drive. I've got myself a 960gb ssd drive and I'd like to see if I can replace that old drive with this one. I've tried going to the simplest way, cloned it with clonezilla and then try to boot in windows directly but I got a blue error message.
Any clues on this? Does it make sense or would it be easier to learn how to reinstall windows?
