Change from X99 to a better supported Build

So my Build Before
Gigabyte GA-X99-UD4
INTEL Core i7-5820K
G.Skill F4-2400C15Q-32GRR 32 GB
GTX 970 G1

I would like to change from X99 to a more supported Build, without Sounds, Imessenger and Update issues.

Except my Graphic card i will send the othe Stuff back to amazon and get 960 EUR back.
What kind of Build you recomend to a Photographer aka Gamer.

The most popular build on this site is the I7-4790K with either a Z97X-UD3H or UD5H motherboard.
Works great for gaming with at least 8 GB of ram. Get at least 16-32 GB for working with photo
editing. You can keep the GTX 970 and use that with the Z97 build.
