Hi,

I was wondering if someone could assist. I had a working hackintosh of my setup running Mojave and decided to attempt a direct update to Catalina.

Setup:
Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z
Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge)
Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB

I update to the latest version or Clover boot (v5125), and checked/updated my Kexts. However I seem to be getting a kernel panic as it pauses (imagine attached) when booting and then panics (paused image of video attached) when loading the installer.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

you are missing all the new quirks in your config.plist

either add those in, or return to a previous version of clover

Looks like your AppleIntelE1000e.kext Ethernet kext is causing the KP, try removing it.

also these can be removed as well:
AirportBrcmFixup.kext.dSYM
BrcmNonPatchRAM.kext
you could possibly replace BrcmNonPatchRAM2.kext with BrcmNonPatchRAM3.kext
BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext should have BrcmFirmwareData.kext instead
SMCBatteryManager.kext is for laptops so you can remove that
SMCLightSensor.kext

Should BrcmNonPatchRAM3.kext be BrcmPatchRAM3.kext as I can't seem to finds BrcmNonPatchRAM3.kext

Thanks for the help

Thanks so much for the help. I've managed to install Catalina and boot in Catalina. I've now got a black screen (can remote desktop), which I will look for solutions for.
