Catalina 10.15.2 - Apple TV App - Crashes on playback

Hey All,

I successfully upgraded to Catalina yesterday and so far everything is working except for the new TV app. When I login to the App and hit play on a show, it will begin playing with audio and video, then will crash after about 10 seconds. I have been unable to find any settings that would explain this. Does anyone have advice/suggestions? I am using a Vega 64 with Intel 300.

There are a number of things to consider. Your SMBIOS, whether you use WhateverGreen, and whether your iGPU is on or off in BIOS.

I use: SMBIOS iMacPro1,1. iGPU off in Bios. No WhateverGreen.

Your settings may be different as my dGPU is Radeon RX580. The thing that makes a difference for me is having the iGPU off in BIOS. WhateverGreen 1.3.6 reportedly has some new settings that may allow TV to work with the internal GPU active.
