Hello,
have you looked at the Silverstone SG Series 02W-F or Silverstone SG12? I've used the SG12 before and its actually not bad. The only trouble I had with it was that I couldn't fit a 80mm fan at the top because my GPU was too tall. I use a GTX 970. It is a bit noisy but then again I am using stock cooler. Note that both are not water cooling capable.

I like the Silverstone SG12 over the Silverstone SG Series 02W-F only because it doesn't have two bays on the front of the case for additional drives.

That's a nice case I'm wondering if you can get it without a side window? I use to be into side windowed cases but I'm not really into them that much no more same with huge tower cases. I've been looking at this which I like what do you think? It's a bit on the pricey side but apparently it's all aluminum https://www.overclockers.co.uk/raijintek-styx-classic-silver-micro-atx-case-ca-032-rt.html

Looks a bit like the Metis. If using this case, from the reviews I have read, the best cooling results is to install the CPU fan so it blows toward the front of the case (if using a tower cooler) - this way it is not fighting the PSU for air. Also, reverse the rear exhaust fan to make it an intake fan. See the Bit-Tech review - http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cases/2015/09/23/raijintek-styx-review/1
They also did a nice review on the Metis. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cases/2015/01/14/raijintek-metis-review/1

For a really minimalist aluminum case consider the Lian Li PC-M25 in silver:

199mm W x 322mm H x 441mm D, it has 410mm space for a GPU. Very pricey - you have to really love this case to buy it!

Hehe that is indeed pricey  although it is a very nice case. Going onto CPU coolers I was looking at the nocua COU cooler. Was looking at something like this. Noctua nh-l9 X 65 - PC Case Fan, 12 V https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UHYDVK0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_aYAmybYDGZ4CJ

Be very careful with the CPU you use with this cooler - it is made for low wattage CPU and no overclock. It is more for mITX than for mATX usage. While you can use it with a 95W Skylake CPU you have to make sure you do not exceed the thermal capability by restricting BIOS Turbo settings and making sure you have very good case ventillation according to Noctua site.

The i3 I'm using is a 4360 which is 54watts according to intels site. I don't overclock. This machine is just going to be used as a internet browsing, youtube etc machine I'm wanting to have my main desktop as just a video editing machine as use this new machine as a daily driver only because it will save me electric if that makes sense?

Then you should be OK.
